You and your family can avoid the proverbial "summer slide" by heading out to any of our Central Unified school site libraries that are open this summer. Biola-Pershing and Teague's libraries will be open thanks to our partnership with the Fresno County Public Library. And before you head out to the library, you can bring your kids to some of our selected school sites for breakfast and lunch. Meals are FREE to all kids ages 1-18 and they must be present in order to receive a meal. Please see the schedules for more information.
If your child is or will be four-years-old and has a birthday between December 3, 2014, and December 2, 2015, then he or she may qualify for Preschool in Central Unified. Preschool requirements and applications are on our website, www.centralunified.org or you can pick up an application in room 10 at the District Office at 5652 W. Gettysburg Avenue. Madison tutorial is underway for 1st through 6th grade.
Now that we’ve reached the end of the 2018-19 school year, I’m proud of all of the accomplishments and successes we enjoyed at Madison. We excelled this year in academics, athletics, performing arts, and other co-curricular activities. I could definitely feel the school spirit come alive in all of our faculty, students, and staff. And the support from the parents and community helped make our school and district #BetterTogether. As you embark on your summer break, I hope you have a fun and relaxing time with your family and friends. I encourage you to visit our website for important communication and information during the summer break and don’t forget to follow us on social media on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram at @CentralUSD or @CentralUnified for other important news and communication. I look forward to welcoming you all back for the 2019-2020 school year on Wednesday, August 14. Thank you and enjoy your break!
